Istation Dives into the EdSurge Shark Tank for ELL Support

by Lindsey Joyce on February 12, 2016

On February 16, 2016 at 5:00 PM PST, Istation will join Lexia Core 5 and ThinkCERCA in the EdSurge shark tank to discuss differentiated literacy support for ELL.

Per the Edsurge event site:

"Did you know that English Language Learners are the fastest growing segment in our nation’s public schools? According to the National Education Association, “By 2025 nearly one out of every four public school students will be an English Language Learner.” Are we prepared to provide differentiated literacy support for these students? In the Shark Tank we will hear from three literacy companies who provide ELL support - Istation, ThinkCerca and LexiaCore5. They will pitch their solutions to our three teacher-sharks. One company will be dubbed the winner. Get ready for a night of smart conversation, hard questions and great solutions to better support all the students in your class."

Istation is thrilled to take part in what is sure to be an excellent conversation about English Language Learners. Built specifically for Spanish-speaking students by Spanish language educators, Istation Reading en Español is perfect for bilingual implementations, including dual language models. Istation Reading en Español immerses students in authentic Spanish literature and interactive lessons that address the foundational skills required to be a successful reader.
