We are pleased to announce today on our blog the updates to Istation Reading en Español and Istation Math that are available as of July 22, 2016.
Istation Reading en Español:
- Six new transitory- and developed-stages books plus story cards, quizzes, vocabulary squares, and a Make Your Own Alien activity. Accompanying activities and lessons teach reading skills including vocabulary, sequence, and fluency.
- Six new lessons in which learners add and decompose fractions, express equivalent fractions, and add on a number line.
Fractions and Number Lines
Additions to Istation Math include new Teach and Practice sections in which students prepare to face Miss Match and her laundry mix-ups by training with Weatherby to add fractions and clean the scientists’ lab coats. In a new lesson, Pie Face is launching meatballs in the city, and students must add on a number line to catch the meatballs and send them back.
“Helping My Community” in Reading en Español
Updates to Reading en Español include six new themed books for grades 1-3. Within the theme of “Helping My Community,” students learn new vocabulary and reading strategies including inferencing, drawing conclusions, sequencing, and summarization.
Our team continually works hard to communicate the updates and when they will be available to you. To learn more about Istation Reading en Español and Istation Math check out our website on the button below.
