Discover Ways to Achieve Hands-On Learning in Distance-Learning Environments

Micah Copeland, Elementary Principal at North Carolina Cyber Academy (NCCA), knows that the biggest success of virtual education is the genuine relationships between teachers and students.

“We really work to try to get to know our kids,” Copeland said. “That is important for us. Just like in the classroom, relationships are critical.”

While most school districts were challenged by the shift to online learning in the spring of 2020, teaching and learning virtually has been the norm at NCCA since 2015. The virtual charter school serves 2,600 K-12 students across the state of North Carolina with engaging virtual instruction techniques.

In our podcast “Achieving Hands-On Learning in Distance-Learning Environments,” Copeland offers insights into how educators can navigate the continuation of virtual and hybrid learning environments and continue to deliver impactful, personalized experiences through these digital channels.
