Welcome to the Istation Blog
The COVID-19 pandemic has been extremely disruptive to students’ learning. Even for students who could adequately access online and hybrid programs, wide and varied learning gaps emerged that will take time and effort to overcome.
A recent study by Istation found that learning loss in the past two years has been significant and unprecedented.
When we return to school in the fall, educators might be leading school-wide interventions instead of individual instructional interventions used in the past. We know we will need to gauge where each student is and what they need to catch up. Many students may not have gotten the hands-on learning they needed to master objectives taught in the final quarter of the school year.
