South Texas educators at Rio Grande City CISD saw Tier 1 increases after using Istation Reading and Istation Español to differentiate classroom instruction. They weren’t always on board with shifting student assessments to the computer, but when they saw the growth each month, they became excited.
With Istation teachers get digital and in-person lessons plus strategies and tools to support what they were doing in their classrooms. This support enabled them to practice blended learning techniques and differentiate instruction in small- and whole-group instructional time.
They quickly learned that by using Istation daily, students were able to work on core reading skills while the program adjusted to their own personal level of difficulty. The whole district uses Istation for for all its students, no matter whether they are reading below, at, or above grade level.
Spanish-dominant students are also using Istation to learn skills in Spanish and later transferring those skills to English. Istation Español is not simply a translation of an English product; rather it has been created and designed specifically for Spanish learners and educators.
Teachers welcome this program in their classrooms and happily use the data to differentiate instruction.
