by Andi Atchison on February 9, 2017

Istation is currently conducting an Item Response Theory (IRT) study for two new assessments: Algebra Readiness and Algebra 1. Schools are invited to participate in this important study, which will help make our products more accessible to your students and students around the nation.

Be a part of Istation’s Algebra Readiness assessment study!

Istation is developing an ISIP™ Algebra Readiness assessment for students enrolled in middle school mathematics.

Istation invites your school to participate in our ISIP Algebra Readiness Item Response Theory (IRT) study. Students enrolled in middle school (grades 6-8) math courses, including Pre-Algebra, but not Algebra 1, are eligible to participate.

Your district can choose one of the two-month testing windows below. All testing sessions must be completed within the selected two-month time period. Three of the many options are listed here:

o   February 1 - March 31

o   March 15 - May 15

o   April 3 - June 2

Be a part of Istation’s Algebra 1 assessment Study!

Istation is developing an ISIP™ Algebra 1 assessment for students currently enrolled in Algebra 1. This new assessment will identify students’ risk status for meeting the expectations in Algebra 1.

Students enrolled in Algebra 1 courses are eligible to participate (grades 8-9).

There is a two-month testing window for this study as well. All sessions must be completed within the selected two-month time period. Three of the many options are listed here:

o   February 1 - March 31

o   March 15 - May 15

o   April 3 - June 2

Students who have testing accommodations should be allowed to use those accommodations during this field testing with one exception. The only calculator allowed for use should be the 4-function calculator provided within the assessment.
